ENG. The RenderMan Art Challenge is a creative competition organized by Pixar that focuses on the use of their renowned rendering software, RenderMan, to showcase artistic and technical skills in 3D image creation.
This year’s theme is “First Contact,” where artists are invited to create a stunning visual narrative using RenderMan software, with the option to explore scenarios related to alien first contact.
Images must be rendered with official RenderMan plugins (for Maya, Houdini, Katana, or Blender).
Entries open on August 13, 2025, and close at midnight PST on November 13, 2025.
ITA. Il RenderMan Art Challenge è un concorso creativo organizzato da Pixar incentrato sull’utilizzo del loro famoso software di rendering, RenderMan, che permette di mettere in mostra abilità artistiche e tecniche nella realizzazione di immagini 3D.
Il tema di quest’anno è “First Contact” dove gli artisti sono invitati a creare una narrazione visiva straordinaria utilizzando il software RenderMan, con possibilità di esplorare scenari legati ad un primo contatto alieno.
Le immagini devono essere renderizzate con i plugin ufficiali di RenderMan (per Maya, Houdini, Katana o Blender).
Le iscrizioni si aprono il 13 agosto 2025 e si chiudono a mezzanotte PST del 13 novembre 2025.
